SSB Student Awards

SSB Student Travel Awards

For 2010 The SSB Executive Committee has approved the expenditure for awards of a total of 2000 CHF to help student members to attend scientific meetings related to Biomaterials. The awardees can use the money for travel / accommodation help.

Rules

  1. To apply for the award, the student must have been an SSB member in the previous year (if the student is not an individual member, they must state who their Laboratory membership representative member is).
  2. The student must have previously presented a poster or a talk at an SSB conference in order to apply.
  3. The student must provide a signed letter from his/her professor confirming the student status.
  4. The student must study or be based for his/her research within Switzerland (at Swiss Universities, Applied Swiss Universities and Swiss not for profit Foundations).
  5. The abstract, where the student is the presenting author, must have been accepted for an oral or poster presentation (oral presentations will have priority for the awards).
  6. The Awardees must acknowledge the SSB support in their 'acknowledgments slide' or on the poster.
  7. The course of law is excluded.
  8. Applications should be sent by email to the addresses listed at the bottom of this page
